What’s an appropriate housewarming gift? Well, it depends on where in the world the housewarming is taking place. My Move took a trip around the world to discover housewarming traditions across seven different nations and cultures. Wine, plants and fruit were predictable housewarming gifts, but we had no idea roosters, brooms and honey would be typical gifts for warming a loved one’s home.
About 1/3 of the food produced in the world for human consumption every year; approximately 1.3 billion tonnes gets lost or wasted. Industrialized anddeveloping countries waste roughly the same quantities of food – respectively 670 and 630 million tonnes. Every year, consumers in rich countries waste almost as much food(222 million tonnes) as the entire net food production of sub-Saharan Africa(230 million tonnes).
